English → Pt THE SONNETS Level 9/10

Though yet heaven knows it is but as a tomb

Which hides your life, and shows not half your parts:

If I could write the beauty of your eyes,

And in fresh numbers number all your graces,

E em versos novos enumerar todas as tuas graças,

The age to come would say this poet lies,

Such heavenly touches ne'er touched earthly faces.

Tais toques celestiais jamais tocaram rostos terrenos.

So should my papers (yellowed with their age)

Assim deveriam meus papéis (amarelados pela idade)

Be scorned, like old men of less truth than tongue,

And your true rights be termed a poet's rage,

E teus verdadeiros méritos serem chamados de fúria de poeta,

And stretched metre of an antique song.

E metro forçado de uma canção antiga.

But were some child of yours alive that time,

You should live twice,—in it, and in my rhyme.

Viveria duas vezes,—nele, e em minha rima.

Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?

Devo comparar-te a um dia de verão?

Thou art more lovely and more temperate:

És mais formoso e mais temperado:

Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,

And summer's lease hath all too short a date:

Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,

Às vezes o olho do céu brilha quente demais,

And often is his gold complexion dimmed,

And every fair from fair sometime declines,

By chance, or nature's changing course untrimmed:

But thy eternal summer shall not fade,

Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow'st,

Nor shall death brag thou wand'rest in his shade,

When in eternal lines to time thou grow'st,

So long as men can breathe or eyes can see,

So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.

Por tanto tempo vive isto, e isto te dá vida.
