English → Spanish THE SONNETS Level 9/10

From fairest creatures we desire increase,

De las más bellas criaturas deseamos multiplicación,

That thereby beauty's rose might never die,

But as the riper should by time decease,

His tender heir might bear his memory:

Su tierno heredero pueda portar su memoria:

But thou contracted to thine own bright eyes,

Feed'st thy light's flame with self-substantial fuel,

Making a famine where abundance lies,

Creando hambruna donde reina la abundancia,

Thyself thy foe, to thy sweet self too cruel:

Tú mismo tu enemigo, demasiado cruel contigo dulce ser:

Thou that art now the world's fresh ornament,

And only herald to the gaudy spring,

Y único heraldo de la vistosa primavera,

Within thine own bud buriest thy content,

Dentro de tu propio capullo entierras tu esencia,

And, tender churl, mak'st waste in niggarding:

Y, tierno villano, derrochas en tu mezquindad:

Pity the world, or else this glutton be,

Compadece al mundo, o sé este glotón,

To eat the world's due, by the grave and thee.

When forty winters shall besiege thy brow,

Cuando cuarenta inviernos asedien tu frente,

And dig deep trenches in thy beauty's field,

Thy youth's proud livery so gazed on now,

Will be a tattered weed of small worth held:

Será un andrajo de escaso valor tenido:

Then being asked, where all thy beauty lies,

Where all the treasure of thy lusty days;

Dónde todo el tesoro de tus días vigorosos;

To say, within thine own deep sunken eyes,

Decir que en tus propios ojos hundidos,

Were an all-eating shame, and thriftless praise.

How much more praise deserv'd thy beauty's use,

If thou couldst answer 'This fair child of mine

Si pudieras responder 'Este hermoso hijo mío

Shall sum my count, and make my old excuse,'

Proving his beauty by succession thine.

This were to be new made when thou art old,

Esto sería renacer cuando seas viejo,

And see thy blood warm when thou feel'st it cold.
