Now much I dread lest he past help have stray'd,

ယခု သူသည် ကူညီမရနိုင်သည့်အထိ လမ်းမှားသွားမည်ကို ငါ အလွန်ကြောက်ရွံ့သည်၊

And I be ris'n too late for his relief,

ငါသည် သူ့အတွက် ကူညီရန် နောက်ကျလွန်းသည်အထိ ထမည်ကို၊

From what in heaven of him I heard. Speed now,

ကောင်းကင်ဘုံတွင် သူ့အကြောင်း ငါကြားသိရသည့်အရာမှ။ ယခု အမြန်သွားလော့၊

And by thy eloquent persuasive tongue,

သင်၏ ကျေးဇူးတင်ဖွယ် စကားချိုသော လျှာဖြင့်၊

And by all means for his deliverance meet,

သူ့ကို ကယ်တင်ရန် သင့်တော်သော နည်းလမ်းအားလုံးဖြင့်၊

Assist him. So to me will comfort spring.

I who now bid thee on this errand forth

Am Beatrice; from a place I come.

Revisited with joy. Love brought me thence,

ဝမ်းမြောက်ခြင်းဖြင့် ပြန်လည်ရောက်ရှိသော နေရာ။ ချစ်ခြင်းမေတ္တာသည် ငါ့ကို ထိုနေရာမှ ဆောင်ယူလာသည်၊

Who prompts my speech. When in my Master's sight

I stand, thy praise to him I oft will tell."

She then was silent, and I thus began:

"O Lady! by whose influence alone,

Mankind excels whatever is contain'd

She then: "Since thou so deeply wouldst inquire,

I will instruct thee briefly, why no dread
