The little girl now thought how dearly her own mother loved her.

어린 소녀는 이제 자신의 어머니가 얼마나 깊이 자신을 사랑하는지 생각했습니다.

So she left the birds.

그래서 그녀는 새들을 떠났습니다.

Then picking some flowers, she went home, and told her mother what she had seen and heard.

그런 다음 꽃을 몇 송이 꺾어서 집으로 돌아가 보고 들은 것을 어머니께 말했습니다.

"Mamma, will you go to town?"

"엄마, 시내에 가실 건가요?"

"What do you ask for a ticket on your train?"

"About what time will you get back?"

"At half past eight."

Is this the fast train?"

"Yes, this is the lightning train."

"네, 이건 번개 열차예요."

"Oh! that is too fast for me."

"오! 그건 저한테는 너무 빠르네요."

"What shall we get for you in town, mamma?"

"엄마, 시내에서 무엇을 사다 드릴까요?"

"A big basket, with two good little children in it."

"착한 어린이 둘이 들어 있는 큰 바구니요."

"All right! Time is up! Ding, ding!"

"알겠어요! 시간이 됐어요! 딩, 딩!"

It is noon, and the school is out.

점심때가 되어 학교가 파했습니다.

Do you see the children at play?

아이들이 놀고 있는 것이 보이나요?

Some run and jump, some play ball, and three little girls play school under a tree.

어떤 아이들은 달리고 뛰며, 어떤 아이들은 공놀이를 하고, 세 명의 어린 소녀들은 나무 아래에서 학교 놀이를 합니다.

What a big room for such a small school!

이렇게 작은 학교치고는 정말 넓은 교실이네요!

Mary is the teacher.
