Half way up the Lone Little Path they met Old Mother West Wind going to her home behind the hill.
一本道の途中で、彼らは丘の向こうの家へ帰ろうとしているお母さん西風に出会った。
"Did you find the Best Thing in the World?" asked Old Mother West Wind.
「世界で一番素晴らしいものを見つけましたか?」とお母さん西風は尋ねた。
"NO!" shouted Striped Chipmunk and Peter Rabbit and Bobby Coon and Jimmy Skunk and Reddy Fox all together.
「いいえ!」とシマリスとピーターラビットとボビーアライグマとジミースカンクとレディフォックスが一斉に叫んだ。
"Johnny Chuck has it," said Old Mother West Wind.
「ジョニーチャックがそれを持っています」とお母さん西風は言った。
"It is being happy with the things you have and not wanting things which some one else has.
「それは自分が持っているものに満足して、他の人が持っているものを欲しがらないということです。
And it is called Con-tent-ment.
そしてそれはチュウ・ソク・カン(満足感)と呼ばれています。
