He was thrilled, and he loved being thrilled.

他迈了两大步就到了门口。

In two strides he reached the door.

这扇门与斯莱特利的门不同，它把门洞填得严严实实，彼得看不见门外的情形，门外敲门的人也看不见他。

Unlike Slightly's door, it filled the aperture, so that he could not see beyond it, nor could the one knocking see him.

「除非你开口说话，否则我不开门，」彼得喊道。

"I won't open unless you speak," Peter cried.

终于，来访者开口了，声音悦耳动听，如铃声般清脆。

Then at last the visitor spoke, in a lovely bell-like voice.

「让我进去，彼得。」

"Let me in, Peter."

是叮叮，彼得迅速为她撤去了门栓。

It was Tink, and quickly he unbarred to her.

她兴冲冲地飞了进来，脸色红润，裙子上沾满了泥巴。

She flew in excitedly, her face flushed and her dress stained with mud.

「发生什么事了？」

"What is it?"

「哦，你绝对猜不到！」她喊道，并让他猜三次。

"Oh, you could never guess!" she cried, and offered him three guesses.

「快说出来！」他叫道，于是她用一句不合语法的长句——就像魔术师从嘴里扯出的彩带那样长——讲述了温蒂和孩子们被俘的经过。

"Out with it!" he shouted, and in one ungrammatical sentence, as long as the ribbons that conjurers pull from their mouths, she told of the capture of Wendy and the boys.

彼得一边听，一边心跳得上下起伏。

Peter's heart bobbed up and down as he listened.

温蒂被捆绑着，关在海盗船上；而她是那么喜欢凡事井井有条的人啊！

Wendy bound, and on the pirate ship; she who loved everything to be just so!

「我要去救她！」他喊道，纵身扑向他的武器。

"I'll rescue her!" he cried, leaping at his weapons.

就在他跳跃的瞬间，他想到了一件可以取悦她的事：他可以把那瓶药喝掉。

As he leapt he thought of something he could do to please her. He could take his medicine.

他的手握住了那瓶致命的药水。

His hand closed on the fatal draught.

「不！」叮叮铃尖叫道，她曾听见虎克穿越森林时喃喃自语着自己的所作所为。

"No!" shrieked Tinker Bell, who had heard Hook mutter about his deed as he sped through the forest.

「为什么不能喝？」

"Why not?"

「那药被下了毒。」

"It is poisoned."

「下毒？谁会在里面下毒？」

"Poisoned? Who could have poisoned it?"

「虎克。」

"Hook."

「别说傻话了。虎克怎么可能来到这里？」

"Don't be silly. How could Hook have got down here?
