I will not hearken blame or praise;

ကျွန်ုပ်သည် အပြစ်တင်ခြင်းကိုဖြစ်စေ ချီးမွမ်းခြင်းကိုဖြစ်စေ နားမထောင်မည်မဟုတ်၊

For so should I dishonour do

အကြောင်းမူကား ထိုသို့ပြုမူလျှင် ကျွန်ုပ်သည် အရှက်ကွဲစေမည်ဖြစ်၏

To that sweet Power by which these Lays

ဤကဗျာများကို ဖန်တီးသောချိုမြိန်သည့် စွမ်းအားတော်အား

Alone are lovely, good, and true;

တစ်ခုတည်း ချစ်ဖွယ်ကောင်းပြီး ကောင်းမွန်၍ မှန်ကန်စေသော၊

Nor credence to the world's cries give,

လောကီ၏ အော်ဟစ်သံများကိုလည်း ယုံကြည်ခြင်းမပြု၊

Which ever preach and still prevent

အမြဲတမ်း ဟောပြောနေပြီး တားဆီးနေသော၊

Pure passion's high prerogative

သန့်ရှင်းသောနှလုံးသား၏ မြင့်မြတ်သောအခွင့်အရေးကို

To make, not follow, precedent.

ဖြစ်ရပ်များကို လိုက်နာရန်မဟုတ်ဘဲ ဖန်တီးရန်အတွက်ဖြစ်၏။

From love's abysmal ether rare

မေတ္တာ၏ နက်နဲသောနှင့် ထူးဆန်းသောဧကန်မှ

If I to men have here made known

ကျွန်ုပ်သည် လူသားများအား ဤနေရာ၌ သိစေခဲ့ပါက

New truths, they, like new stars, were there

Before, though not yet written down.

I run, or loiter with delight,

Or pause to mark where gentle Love

Persuades the soul from height to height.

Yet, know ye, though my words are gay

သို့သော် သိကြလော့၊ ကျွန်ုပ်၏ စကားများသည် ရွှင်လန်းသော်လည်း

As David's dance, which Michal scorn'd.

မိကာလ်မုန်းတီးခဲ့သော ဒါဝိဒ်၏ အကကဲ့သို့ဖြစ်၏။

If kindly you receive the Lay,

THE CATHEDRAL CLOSE.

ကသီဒရယ်ဘုရားကျောင်းဝင်းအနီး။

Once more I came to Sarum Close,

တစ်ကြိမ်ထပ်မံ ကျွန်ုပ်သည် ဆာရမ်ကလိုးသို့ ရောက်လာပြန်၏၊

With joy half memory, half desire,

ဝမ်းမြောက်မှု တစ်ဝက်မှတ်ဉာဏ် တစ်ဝက်ဆန္ဒဖြင့်၊

And breathed the sunny wind that rose

ပေါ်ထွက်လာသော နေရောင်ညွှန်းသောလေကို ရှုရှိုက်၍

And blew the shadows o'er the Spire,

ထုပ်ထားသောမျှော်စင်ပေါ်မှ အရိပ်များကို မှုတ်လှိမ့်ကာ၊

And toss'd the lilac's scented plumes,

နှင်းဆီပင်၏ အနံ့ရှိသောပန်းတက်များကို လှုပ်ခါကာ၊

And sway'd the chestnut's thousand cones,

ချက်နပ်သစ်ပင်၏ ထောင်ချီသောသစ်ဆုပ်များကို တောင်ကမ်းမဲ့ မှောင်ကစေကာ၊

And fill'd my nostrils with perfumes,

ကျွန်ုပ်၏ နှာခေါင်းများကို ရနံ့များဖြင့် ဖြည့်ပေးကာ၊

And shaped the clouds in waifs and zones,

တိမ်တိုက်များကို ပျောက်ဆုံးသောနေရာများနှင့် ဇုန်များအဖြစ် ပုံဖော်ပေးကာ၊

And wafted down the serious strain

Of Sarum bells, when, true to time,

I reach'd the Dean's, with heart and brain
