大教堂庭院
THE CATHEDRAL CLOSE.
我再度来到索尔兹伯里的庭院，
Once more I came to Sarum Close,
心中交织着回忆与渴望，
With joy half memory, half desire,
呼吸着那阳光中升起的微风，
And breathed the sunny wind that rose
它吹动着尖塔上掠过的影子，
And blew the shadows o'er the Spire,
摇曳着丁香那散发芬芳的花穗，
And toss'd the lilac's scented plumes,
摆动着栗树上千万个果穗，
And sway'd the chestnut's thousand cones,
将芬芳灌入我的鼻息，
And fill'd my nostrils with perfumes,
将云彩塑成漂泊的碎片与条带，
And shaped the clouds in waifs and zones,
又将索尔兹伯里钟声那庄重的旋律飘送而来，
And wafted down the serious strain Of Sarum bells,
恰在那时，我准时到达院长府邸，
when, true to time, I reach'd the Dean's,
心与脑都随着那颤动的钟声而颤抖。
with heart and brain That trembled to the trembling chime.

'Twas half my home, six years ago.
